Pretty Little Kit - Noah - Process Video

Hi everyone, it's Kayla here again. Today I am going to show you the Project Life spread I made using the current Pretty Little Kit - Noah. I fell in love with the gorgeous mint, white and navy colour combination of this kit.
It was a perfect combination to put together this spread of my son. Mint is one of my favourite colours at the moment, in fact it's a major inspiration for my upcoming wedding.
I hope you enjoy a look at what I have created.

If you are after one of these kits, there are just a few left in store.

I have once again recording a process video for you to check out. I did pre-stitch and ink splatter the cards just to make the whole video earlier and smoother to record. I apologise I couldn't get a closer view, I just *have* to have my whole double page spread out at one time. I wish I could work on each side but I just can't do it unless I can see the whole spread.
I also had to record this video when it was starting to go dark, so sorry for the shadows!

and some close ups...

I absolutely loved this hot air balloon card. I used a Glitz roller stamp with some turquoise paint to create a bit of textured stamping, and how cute are the glitter thickers?

I have fallen in love with my typewriter. I used it a lot on this spread and I can see it becoming a big part of this album for my son's first year. It's so much easier also than printing off the computer. The moustache wood veneer was not a part of the kit. It is cute though!

This bottom right card I had no idea what to do with so I decided to make it a title card. Once again I used the roller stamp and paint to create a bit of texture. He really does complete me. xx

I love all the little embellishments and textures I was able to create using parts of the kit. I have also used bits and pieces from the BITS & PIECES KIT - HUNTER. There are still a couple of these left if you want to grab one. The wood theme is so versatile!

and to finish off just a little letter to my son. I love him so much. xx

PLK Charlotte - Process Video

It's Kayla here. I am going to share with you today the first Project Life spread I made with The Pretty Little Kit. Charlotte was such a gorgeous kit. I loved the colours and the black brush script card was my favourite! Unfortunately this kit is sold out but there are still some Noah kits left from August. You can find them in the store here.

You can see my process video for this layout here. I do apologise, I sound really tired while filming the voice over for this video. Life of a Mum I say. The only chance I get for video editing is usually on the laptop in bed, so naturally my tired voice is it!

I really enjoyed creating a Project life layout using a kit because I am really new to Project Life therefore having a base kit to work with where the colours and embellishments are already co-ordinated is very handy.

As you can probably see here I stitch around the edges of all my cards. it makes them a bit more 'Kayla'. I love my sewing machine to bits and I am always using it. It stays plugged in at all times.

The brush script love card was my absolute favourite. I was going to have it as my weekly title card but decided instead to let it's gorgeousness shine alone! I used the white and blue card as my title card with those gorgeous kraft thickers!

My little boy tried Farex for the first time this week and he hated it! Yuck yuck yuck. I used the pink flair also as there was some pink accent in the My Minds Eye Spotty paper. It doesn't matter that this layout is for a boy. Who said pink is for girls anyway?

Here's a better look at my title card. I used some black mist for ink dots and some sequins and the gorgeous yellow pastel washi included.

To top it off I made a shaker pocket using the black and grey sequins, the transparency and some of the wooden veneer stars from The Scrappery Kit from that month. I love making shaker pockets and something to break up all the photos and journalling.

I hope you enjoyed a look at my first Project Life layout using a Pretty Little Kit.
I would love to see what you have done with yours, feel free to comment with a link.

Process Video - Bella Grace

Hi guys. It's Kayla here today with my first process video with the August kits. I decided to crack open Audrey and scrap a page of my gorgeous new puppy Bella.

I loved the colours in this kit. They work so well together and that gold star vellum...oh my gosh!

You can still find some of these kits in the store here for a limited time only.

I hope you enjoy this little look through how I created this layout.

Here's a little process video to share with you which shows a little better how I created this layout using Audrey.

I used my typewriter for the first time on a layout! Still getting used to it and there is a bit of shadowing but I really like the look. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch with the gold star vellum to create some extra embellishments. I really have a thing for butterflies and vellum! The gold mist from last month's GLORIA kit looked so awesome on this page also. I think I am now a converted Lindy's Stamp Gang lover! The mists are so fantastic and such great value.

Here's a little close up which shows the texture of the embellishments. This page really captures a lot of my favourite things...stitching, misting, stamping, twine and butterflies! (..oh and sequins of course) How could I forget those?

Bella Grace...another blessing in our ever growing *little* family.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my first layout.

Much love.

AUGUST - BITS & PIECES KIT - HUNTER

We love all things woodgrain here and what better a name to call it than Hunter?
Nae and I fell in love with the wood dots from My Minds Eye and when we saw the wood sequins from Chic Tags we were in love. We just had to do a wood themed kit.
Woodgrain is a great neutral addition and with tiny little embellishments like these, it's also great for Project Life and traditional layouts all the same.

Products List:
1 x My Minds Eye Wood Dots
1 x Studio Calico Essentials Alphabet
Assortment of Studio Calico Woodgrain Star Sequins
1 x Pack of Chic Tags Wood Sequins
2 x Wood Stars
Assortment of Studio Calico Wood Veneer Geotags
1 x Roll of Woodgrain Washi Tape
1 x Scrappery Exclusive Flair Badge
Partial Pack of My Minds Eye Wood Shapes (not pictured)
Assortment of Studio Calico Woodgrain Chipboard Geotags (not pictured)

There are just a few left of these beautiful kits in the store. You can find them for one off purchases here AND of course we offer our subscription service where you get even better value on your kits and a guaranteed kit each month delivered right to your door!

These little bits are gorgeous. Hand punched wood veneer stars. These are thin veneer so won't add any bulk to your pages and Project Life spreads.

These are my favourite two additions..the sequins and wood dots. I think I could hoard these forever!

I hope you enjoyed a little look into all the bits & pieces you get in this gorgeous kit.

Go Gold - BPK and TSK 12x12 Layout

Hey guys, Nae back again with another beautiful glittering 12x12 layout to feat your eyes on. We are having so much trouble with shipping this month that things just seem to fall further and further behind. We are so sorry to inconvenience you all in only our second month but hopefully after this month we will have things sorted out and there will be no more set backs. If you are a subscriber be sure to check your kits for the free gift we have provided to say how sorry we are for delaying shipping. Now, onto the layout.

I originally made this layout for the sketch challenge in our first Cyber Crop but never got around to actually getting it finished, photos taken and uploaded. So now, here it is for you all to see. Its funny, it reminds me a lot of Charm's layout in a previous post.

 photo gold3_zps28b2aa3a.jpg

The layout, like I said earlier, was for the sketch challenge listed on the previous blog post about the Cyber Crop but I will post it here for you again so you can look at the resemblance.

 photo sketch1_zpsec9b8f27.jpg

This is probably the closest to a sketch I have ever been. I actually surprised myself with how well I stuck to it. When I used to scrapbook 12x12 layouts (about 5 years ago) I tended to just take inspiration from the sketch and just work it into my own layout. Eventually they would look nothing like the original. So this was a huge accomplishment for me.

 photo gold1_zpsa1c7dd85.jpg

I absolutely loved the woodgrain paper that featured in our TSK - The Scrappery Kit - Tilly in our July Edition. I knew as soon as I found it, like Kayla, that I had to use it as a whole background piece. I could seriously have another 20 pages of this and be happy!!

 photo gold2_zps7e37c2ca.jpg

I just absolutely loved the BPK - Bits & Pieces Kit - Gloria, our July Edition and all its gold beauty. I did originally start out with a heap of the papers from Tilly but after a while knew that I wanted to work with just the golds on this stunning piece of background paper. The Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray is just amazing. If you haven't mixed up your own bottle and used it yet I suggest you do. I will be definitely getting more of these and using them as my main mists. Just heavenly to use.

As always I have made a process video to go along with the layout, so sit back, relax and take a peek into my workspace. Thank you so much for sticking with us guys and I hope I get to see more of your amazing layouts in the weeks to come.

Until next time guys,
I have some packing and wrapping to do,
